FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Dear Parent,

Let me introduce myself: I am Giordano Benedettini, leading Peter Pan Management & Training since May 2026. I take over from Eliana Barberini, who founded the agency in May 2007 with decades of experience in entertainment and fashion, gained well before the agency itself was born.

I have always lived immersed in this sector and, after my university studies, I chose to dedicate myself full-time to the agency, learning the craft on the field, every day, alongside those who have done it for decades. I continue in the path traced, keeping intact the same vision, values and care in the relationship with children, families and clients that have made this agency a benchmark in the industry.

A heartfelt thanks goes to Sara, who manages and organizes much of the agency’s activities, and to Nausicaa, who handles booking: their daily work is the engine of everything we do.

If you have landed on this page, you are probably intrigued by the idea of giving your son or daughter an experience in the world of fashion and entertainment, perhaps because you are often told he/she has the perfect face for advertising, or simply for the joy of seeing them appear on TV or in a magazine.

Over the years, the role of the intermediation agent has deeply changed. Today our clients are not just looking for children to introduce: a social post is enough for visibility. What they ask for are sociable minors, comfortable on set, with good diction, enthusiastic and with distinguishing skills, plus a strong stage presence or unique personality. Of course, these aspects carry different weight based on the child’s age.

Our task is to identify the most suitable ones, follow them and support them in their growth path in this fascinating sector.

On the other hand, parents entrust us with their children asking us to ensure the seriousness of clients and any intermediaries, to verify contract correctness and to ensure minors are protected at every stage of this experience.

With dedication, study and constant updating, our agency has grown and consolidated, earning the trust of important clients, productions and brands, giving a dream to many children.

Parents also play a fundamental role: it’s important to approach this path with seriousness, respecting the rules shared with the agency, but above all with the right attitude towards your children. For them it should not be a burden or responsibility, but an experience to live with lightness and fun, seizing every opportunity calmly.

In the FAQ section below you will find all essential information. We invite you to read it carefully and, for any further questions, we will be happy to respond by email or phone.

Frequently asked questions

From what age can you register?

Age is from two-three months on, although the best period to enjoy the game is from six/seven to eleven/twelve years, although requests continue to come in for roles up to 25-30 years.

Warning: teenagers cannot apply autonomously, they must always be submitted by their parents.

What are the requirements for registration?

Bureaucratically, I need both parents’ tax codes, the child’s tax code and data processing authorization.

  • The characteristics required for children three and older are linked to their aesthetics: they must be pleasant, without obvious flaws, outgoing in character, with good diction and special skills, the most diverse, from skateboarding to parkour, from bilingualism to theater acting, and so on.
  • For newborns and children up to three years, we look for beautiful, very beautiful, calm and smiling children.
Are there any obligations?

For children it remains a game, but for those involved it’s a job. So, if you are not available for a casting, it’s best to notify the agency as soon as possible. Parents always have the final decision on whether to let their child do a job: no one decides for him, but it’s always discussed at the agency.

Obviously, once the child has been contracted for a TV series, film or any other project requiring commitment, you will have to honor what was declared.

What’s the commitment?

The commitment depends on how much you are chosen: you can participate in many casting, few or none; it’s the Client who decides whom to meet. Same for jobs. Castings last a few minutes, waits may not be very short, but they are no longer hours like years ago: now you participate only on selection.

For jobs, duration depends on the type of commitment: from half a day for some catalog shots, to one-two days for a commercial, up to films and TV series that can last months. The minor must always be accompanied.

What if I change my mind?

Just communicate by email and the profile, photos and any other material related to the child will be immediately deleted from active (live) systems.

For technical reasons, we reserve up to 12 months to complete removal from all our offline archives: automatic backups, offsite copies, cold storage and paper copies of profiles. After this period, every trace of the minor is permanently deleted.

Can I be registered with other agencies?

For greater protection of the child, you cannot be registered with other agencies, also out of respect for other people’s work. So, if the child is already registered with another agency, please do not submit your application unless you intend to withdraw from previous agreements. We have channels, often the same Clients, through which it is very easy to verify if this rule is being broken — which entails immediate removal from Peter Pan’s represented talents.

If, through your personal contacts, the child is chosen for some ‘job’, you must promptly notify us, ideally before attending a casting or replying to a social post.

We can, however, possibly follow contracting and the entire bureaucratic and legal process to guarantee the safety of the minor.

What jobs can children do?

Italian law exclusively allows the use of children for entertainment and fashion, upon presentation of documents stating that parents, school and family doctor are aware of this occasional commitment and of compliance with some simple safety rules.

By entertainment we mean television, advertising and cinema, very small part also theater.

For fashion, mainly catalogs, print campaigns and runway shows.

Some availability from parents is needed, as casting and auditions are often called with minimal notice, even just one day.

What compensation is due?

Compensation for the use of children in entertainment is highly variable: sometimes only gadgets are given, more often a real paycheck, with social security contributions and contribution status.

To this end, those without an Italian tax code cannot work and, therefore, cannot be registered at the agency.

Regardless of how “paying” it can be, this commitment of children is a true emotional gym, where acquiring the small rules of “teamwork” takes on far greater importance than the actual economic return.

What photos are needed?

To apply to the agency for the first time, a few close-up photos showing the child’s colors and features are enough: so no pacifiers, glasses, caps or poses that distort features.

Photos to submit to clients, after the first selection, will be taken directly at the agency, free of charge, on the day of the meeting.

For subsequent renewals, max every 3 months for under 3s and max 6 months for everyone else, only close-ups are accepted, in color, preferably studio shots, uniform background, no red eyes, no other people, no masks, no nudes (not even partial) or underwear or pyjamas, no hats, no sunglasses or makeup, must be formal shots.

Photos (at least twenty poses to choose the most suitable) must be sent through the submission form at the bottom of the page, after taking all information about the agency so you have all info before even submitting the minor. Obviously new photos must be sent for any aesthetic change of the little one: for example, if hair cut or color changes, if teeth fall out (or regrow), if braces, glasses or earrings, etc.

Photo renewal is essential to continue the agency mandate, so if we do not receive renewals within six months, the minor is no longer submitted until new photos and measurements arrive.

Those who want to come to our Rome office to take new photos and update their profile can do so at the reduced price of € 50. Calendar here: Update photos & measurements.
Is there anything to pay?

There is a single initial fund as partial reimbursement for management and promotion of the minor. It must be paid only once and is valid for all years the minor is represented by our agency.

The exact amount is communicated in the acceptance email and in any case before registration, so you can decide calmly. There are no obligations of any kind: if you don’t proceed, no problem.

What does management and promotion mean?

Below a brief list of what we do through agency work:

  • Casting and selection of minors
  • Management, consulting and contract drafting for minors
  • Management of sensitive and photographic data privacy
  • Permits at the juvenile inspectorate
  • Secure archiving of paper and digital documents
  • Client relationship and management
  • Processing, editing and improvement of photos and videos of registered minors
  • Update of profiles, photographic and video data of registered minors
  • Phone and email summons for auditions and video auditions
  • Dedicated phone line for minors on set, active 24h during shooting days
How do you start?

The first thing to do is send a close-up photo of your children, even non-professional, through the section “SUBMIT A CHILD“. If we deem them suitable or at least with possibilities, we will reply within four-five working days, explaining the next steps.

We ALWAYS respond, both yes and no. So, if you do not receive a reply email, it may be that we did not receive it, that it arrived but was not seen, or that it ended up in spam. In this case, call the agency, but not before a week after sending, and we will do a real-time search.

Who decides?

We make a first selection from photos, then a further selection during the office meeting, which also takes into account character peculiarities and child’s skills.

The agency activity consists, in summary, of proposing children or boys/girls in response to casting and audition requests for TV, cinema, runway, catalogs and advertising. Based on auditions, in which you participate only if previously selected by our photo proposals, the various casting directors, directors and photographers will make their choices. Therefore, from casting on, it is only being “right” that counts to be preferred.

What chances do children have of doing something?

It depends mainly on age: about 10% of little ones under three, 20% of children under six, 40/50% of those between six and ten, 30% of teens, will have the satisfaction of being protagonists of this ‘game’.

These data are indicative, of course, and vary according to fashion and current demands. This means being registered does not equal being certain of working, only having the possibility. We try to evaluate in advance who matches more or less the most requested types, but the final choice always belongs only to the final client and not to the agencies themselves.

What have Peter Pan children done?

We are fully transparent. You can find some of the companies we work or have worked with in the Clients section, while the complete list of castings we worked on is in the Casting section. For the latest news, visit the home page and our social pages: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X.

Even with parental authorization, we prefer not to publish photos of minors on the website: you can find them (only for already-released projects) on the social channels mentioned above.

Always keep in mind: most requests are for boys and girls from 6 years old and up!

Now that you know everything:

If you’re ready, submit your daughter/son/children. If you still have doubts, write or call us.
